Thanksgiving San Francisco, CA Helen was the eldest guest at Thanksgiving Dinner. She is 84. "Once you see something you want, honey, don't you let them tell you no. Just go for it and go for it some more. You can do or have whatever you want, but you've got to go for it, honey." I didn't discount her sage advice even when she got up to look for her shoes (which she was wearing) during dinner. |

Thanksgiving San Francisco, CA "Dear Lord, I've been asked, nay commanded, to thank Thee for the Christmas turkey before us... a turkey which was no doubt a lively, intelligent bird... a social being... capable of actual affection... nuzzling its young with almost human-like compassion. Anyway, it's dead and we're gonna eat it. Please give our respects to its family." - Berke Breathed |

Thanksgiving Urban Hike San Francisco, CA "I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." - Andrew Wyeth |
