Sandy and I are so similar in some ways that it has caused rifts in our friendship in the past. Now these same similarities are cornerstones for us to build on. I'm so thankful for Sandy's place in my world.

Brian is a wonderful cook, talented producer and he's a mood making master. He can speak on a variety of off-kilter subjects with authority. Great conversationalists make great friends.

Helen was the eldest guest at Thanksgiving Dinner. She is 84. "Once you see something you want, honey, don't you let them tell you no. Just go for it and go for it some more. You can do or have whatever you want, but you've got to go for it, honey."
I didn't discount her sage advice even when she got up to look for her shoes (which she was wearing) during dinner.
