I've missed my friends; my friends in "real life" and my friends here.
Though I am preparing to depart for THAILAND and LAOS for THREE WEEKS, I will come back with vibrant photos of life in another dimension that is known as Southeast Asia and I will share them all with you.

Two years ago I picked up the San Francisco Chronicle while waiting for a cup of tea at a friend's house. Since then I've posted 1,917 photos (an average of 2.63 per day), had 107,535 visits on my posts, and received 4,698 comments. More importantly I've met a lot of wonderful people both virtually and personally. It's been a hoot...and we're still going.

We knew that we would learn a lot about each other by spending two weeks together in a foreign land. Though we both had moments of angst and frustration, we were able to ground each other and minimize any upset. On a daily basis, Dustin proves himself to be the love of my life. In the words of my roommate's boyfriend, we're tight.

BURNING MAN 2005 - THURSDAY

Saam and I were corresponding about going to Burning Man for many months. When I left for the playa he was still unsure about his ability to attend. I felt confident that I would see him there; I wished for it.
On Wednesday I took my sister out for a tour of the playa, shortly after her arrival. We were headed towards the man; as we neared it I had a change of heart and steered us toward the temple instead.
As we neared the temple I saw a man lofted as high as he could climb, pondering and writing. I was moved. As I began to walk around the corner I recognized the suit he wore; it was Saam. I don't have any photos of that evening. I felt defeated by my broken LCD and wasn't carrying my camera. Saam…
