One year ago I was a die hard city girl talking about the "Bridge and Tunnel Crowd" with disdain. Tomorrow Dustin and I sign the lease on our new apartment...in Berkeley. For those who are surprised I offer you this: When it's cold in July in San Francisco, I'll be drinking a mimosa in the sunshine with my love on our rooftop deck looking at the shrouded Golden Gate thinking of the city dwellers that are resigned to a cloudy, cold July day. |

Palace of Fine Arts San Francisco, CA When I was a little girl we took a family vacation to San Francisco. My mom's attempt to share the Exploratorium with us was futile; it was closed; we were going home the next day. We strolled through the grounds of the Palace of Fine Arts. I was struck by its immensity and grandeur. I felt as though I'd stumbled into the playground of Greek gods and goddesses. Its magical quality hasn't diminished with my maturity. It is still a mystical and amazing place that reminds me of the wonder of childhood. |

Golden Gate Park San Francisco, CA "...limbic resonance and regulation join human minds together in a continuous exchange of influential signals; every brain is part of local network that shares information -- including Attractors. "Through the limbic transmission of an Attractor's influence, one person can lure others into his emotional virtuality. All of us, when we engage in relatedness, fall under the gravitational influence of another's emotional world, at the same time that we are bending his emotional mind with ours. "The limbic transmission of Attractors renders personal identity partially malleable -- the specific people to whom we are attracted provoke a portion of our everyday neural activity." - The General Theory of Love T. Lewis, M.D., F. Amini, M.D., R. Lannon M.D. |

Tyra's Tower of Babble

I read an article in the LA Times last month that made Tyra sound like an intelligent, grounded, educated woman. This quote nullifies that for me. "I haven't seen the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre. I haven't seen anything. I don't really care." - Tyra Banks |
